Eric Carlson’s The Audition won best comedy screenplay at the Richmond International Film Festival on Sunday night. This may be the first home-grown writer to win RIFF. Congratulations to our director!
Congratulations to our members who have placed in the first contests results of 2016!
Jeff Thomas for his quarterfinal showing in the prestigious American Zoetrope screenwriting contest, for his comedy Cuda. Bonnie Eaton for her quarterfinal placement in the 2,000-script Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship, for her script, Father Rennie. Brian Weakland for the quarterfinals in Screencraft, for his psychological thriller, Crazy Woman. Screencraft semis will be announced in two weeks.
And a final shout-out and good luck wishes to our director, Eric Carlson. His The Audition is an Official Selection in the Richmond International Film Festival. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Sunday, March 10.
